Advice Needed for Removing Moss Buildup from Vehicle Tailgate Lights

The rear tailgate lights on either side of my vehicle have collected moss and some green residue. I tried cleaning them at home using detailing brushes and an Autoglym product, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to successfully remove the moss-like buildup on the lights.

I would greatly appreciate any advice on effective products that won't cause any damage to the paint but will get the job done. This has become an eyesore at the moment.

Thanks!

first time being asked about how to clean moss on a car forum and it left me with no answers and then I asked myself if I had moss on ________, how would I clean it? Bleach or vinegar solution in a spray bottle. Polish it after if the moss leaves a residue.

Remove tail....and clean.

Moss needs a constant wettish environment to grow no - so determine root cause of what caused it pre or post clean

I would be a little cautious with bleach. Diluted Vinegar would be a little less caustic or even diluted simple green. I would agree with the chef and try to remove it and clean it I bet there is mold inside where it seals against the car as well.
