Keeping The Rear View Clear

The past 5 cars I’ve had have been touring/SUV with a rear wiper, and the G87 is the first car I’ve had in a long time that has nothing to clear the rear view.

What works for you in terms of keeping the rear view clear of rain etc?

I haven't had any issues with rear view when driving in the rain.

I've had really great experiences with this product in the past. I rarely ever even use my windshield wipers.

Sonax Xtreme spray + seal applied during car washes (at least once every 3 weeks).

Nice rain storm yesterday/last night. Had my M2 out in the rain first time since buying the car mid April of 2023.

Driving in urban traffic: 45mph with the occasional stop light. View out of rear window was very good.

Noticed the windshield -- with the wipers off -- and rear glass seem to shed water.

The side glass built up a collection of drops though.

Based on how the water drops behaved I would guess at least the front and rear glass has been treated with something like Rain X. (I've never used this or anything like it.)

I've had cars with rear window wiper and appreciate what the wiper does when driving in inclement weather. But so far granted with limited experience I'm not missing having a rear wiper on the M2.

Added: Washed the M2 yesterday. In the wash bay I noticed water sprayed onto the rear glass -- and to a lesser degree on the front glass -- beaded up and ran right off the glass. It appears to me the glass has been treated with something to allow it to shed water.
