I know this wasn't directed tome but I just emailed yesterday. Order was accepted mid October. They said mine would be in production 3/16

I got a text from my sales guy letting me know that production has started and he sent me the VIN so can track it in my app

No allocations?? I thought it was easy with bmw, i fought hard for one 992.2 gt3 but this one was pretty easy, i am even in the list for the CS

How many dealers have you tried? I've been on my local dealer's list since June and I took delivery from a slighty further dealer almost 2 months ago.

I'm in Northern California and there haven't been many allocations available across dealers. Going to another dealer now, just puts me at the end of most lines that are already 5-10 deep.

There are at least 10 dealers within an hour from me which means that my region won't get the number of cars per dealer where that one dealer serves a larger metro area.

The business manager at my dealer showed me allocations for M2 in my region and there just weren't any. Getting an M2, M3 or M5 allocations in the SF Bay has been pathetic. On the other hand, I can get an M4 allocation and build immediately. There were more than 20 allocations unclaimed in the region the last I looked with my dealer.

Still debating on just getting an M4. I'll decide when the next allocations are supposed to come out

On the list is not an allocation.

I'll receive the next allocation (#2 overall) at my preferred dealer. They literally have gotten one and only one allocation and that was in July.

Who says to be on the list means an allocation? I said i am on the list for a CS, there are not even allocations for the CS, they will probably be for 2026 but some dealers have already lists for that model, i said i got an allocation for the 992.2 GT3, nothing to do with the CS

It was a statement for clarity.
If you reread your statement seems as you were implying that it was easy to get allocations and you were even on the list to get a CS allocation.

Your statement could be confusing to some.

Anyway, depending on production numbers allocations for a M2 or any BMW could be scarce as production ramps. The i4 had allocation issues in 2022/2023 due to numerous factors that included the war in Ukraine.

Right now getting an allocation for an M2, M3 or M5 is difficult in some markets.

When the dealer gets their next allocation, it's mine.

Got it! I thought it was easy to get allocations for the M2, it was easy for me, this is the 2nd G87 i will have, bought a 2024 BG and sold it when i got this allocation for the TP, nothing compared to Porsche Gt3 allocations, that was my point, BMW seems to give allocations much easier than what Porsche does with the GT3s, anyways good luck with yours!

Congrats man! I submitted my order for a TP M2 as well and received my order number a day before Thanksgiving. I am currently on status code 102. How long did you stay there before you saw movement?

Thanks man! I got my production number on August 1st, then the production started on November 22nd so it was almost 4 months before i got the confirmation that it was starting production
