2025 M2 Individual Wait Time

Hello everyone,

I’m curious as to what people are being told for their individual color wait time. Apparently my order for individual color on the 2025 M2 will not go into production until week 20 which feels too far out from now. How does BMW not have anything batched for individual colors between now and May.

Thank you.

I got an allocation in mid August. My build week is week 9 2025. Should receive the car by April unless transport gets messed up. Overall I'm expecting an 8 month wait.

My car (Twilight Purple) has an estimated build of week 19.

Read the fine print. Individual can add 8-12 weeks to delivery time. So assuming a standard car would be built in March if you add 2-3 months you get into May and maybe June.

Week 20 doesn't seem crazy.

Do you know the average number of M2's built per week. That would give you some insight.

When you order is not relevant.

It's the order accepted because that's when you actually get the allocation.

So an order accepted in Dec and a week 3 build isn't a reasonable expectation.

Week 17 for and individual color when the order was accepted in Dec makes sense.

My order was accepted on Dec 18 and week 19 build.

Originally it was a week 3 but I called last week and it’s a week 17 … Another voodoo blue just went thru pdi like 15 minutes from my job … May look at it and make a quick decision

Just be aware projected weeks mean nothing until you see "scheduled for production". Even then things can change. So right now at "order received", your date is fluid and can move. It's not real until there is a VIN assigned to a chassis.

If your order is accepted as VB and it shows up in the system, changes may not be possible without pushing you to the end of the line.

Individual color acceptance along with individual interior will lock the build.

You have to be 110% sure when you ask for individual.

I've went through the process with my i4 M50 with individual interior. I went though it during COVID at the start of the Ukraine war. Everything that could happen did in fact happen. From wiring harness manufacturing being stopped to the wheel manufacturer having issues getting bespoke 20" wheels done.

So when I say that a date should not be believed until you have a VIN, that has been my experience. I know it was a " perfect storm" but my car was " scheduled for production" more than 6 times and each time fell back to " order received ".

Just be skeptical of all dates until you have a VIN.

Order confirmed in July...getting built Week 6. All in all my wait for delivery (I added port installed MPerf suspension) will likely be about 9 months.

Late December I would have been all over this.

But I already have a non refundable deposit placed.

TP and manual are my basic requirements.
After that it's the carbon buckets.

My current car (i4 M50) has full individual interior in Tartufo.

If The M2 gets hit with tariffs and my price increases, I am to go to an M4 in Venetian Violet with Tartufo buckets.

Nobody knows what's happening with the tarrifs. If the dealer has an allocation is that affected? Does it affect the car on entry? Will they happen? Will there be a carve out for BMW since they have huge domestic production and are building a battery factory?

We just don't know. I do know that a 20% tariff will make the M2 cost like an M4 and I'll buy the M4.
