G87 Front Splitter from Lightweight Performance
I know there are so many post about front splitters for the G87, I was researching for a minimalist lip and came across the one from eas. I’m sure the quality is there but for 800 dollars plus shipping? Should I go with a different look maybe, I was looking at the threads here but some don’t have images. I want to avoid the wings for sure.

I think the general consensus/favorite around here for a "minimalist lip" is the Alpha-N Carbon GT model: https://ind-distribution.com/collect...n-gt-front-lip
Downside with this one, is the price: $2,195 US. Me personally, I think it is the best looking and highest quality "OEM+" option for a front splitter for the G87 on the market, so I took the plunge a few days ago and ordered one. Deep down, I knew I wouldn't be happy with anything less. Of course opinions on front splitters is highly subjective, but you were looking for suggestions so this is one. -Tom

If you’re looking for minimalist, this is a favorite among some of us here. You can see it on my car by clicking on my profile photo.

I prefer the minimalist look Lightweight offers, and the abuse it can take.

If you Google the exact description of the splitter, and look for Images, there are a few pics out there of it, and from the side too. I think there's a post somewhere on Bimmerpost that shows side shots too. EDIT: found a post here that shows a side shot: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2135802 -Tom

This is the only lip I’m really considering Alpha-N looks great but is just too much for a ‘fragile’ CF splitter.
I’m interested in the real world difficulty of installing the Lightweight. Watching for feedback…

I had the lightweight lip. It was in fact indestructable. Best lip out there if you want bumper protection from driveway, hit curbs or want curb protection. Its SOLID as a ROCK. I just wish it went from fender edge to fender edge instead of it being so narrow. I wish they made a full size.
It will literally stop your car dead in its tracks if you roll up to park and hit a curb stopper.

I went with the Aeroflow Dynamics option because I had to factor in the reality that this item will be absolutely abused where we live.
Therefore price was a major factor when considering my local conditions. It also doesn't lower the front clearance area as much as some others. Just my preference... of course everyone has varying criteria. |

Here's some pictures of my car, you won't regret the purchase /// hands down. Great quality, I don't have to worry about getting destroyed.
