Pod Filter / Intakes

Hi all, hoping for some input.

I recently swapped out my G87 M2 intakes and replaced it with your standard pod filter (similar to your K&N). I understand it may not have the same effects of hp and efficient air temps however I love the way it sounds for under $100!

My question: When you install intakes (standard or front mount), you’re able to achieve the ‘whoosh’ sound when the car is stationary. However, I am unable to get this when I’m stationary (regardless of low / high rpm rev) - only when I’m driving.

Any thoughts on why for me to understand this better? Anything I can do to improve?

What exactly is your goal here, to make your car sound better when you rev it? Just drive the damn thing and leave revving to the high schoolers.

If it doesn't make "whoosh" sounds when revving it in park, is it even a performance car

Simple, don’t drive your car.
Stay parked in the driveway and “whoosh”.
In a neighborly friendly fashion of course.

Ironically, the majority or people who want to hear the woosh also want the ASD off. Makes no sense to me...

My understanding is there isn't much load in park/neutral, so the sound will be minimal. Brake torque it and see if you can hear it then, or, you know, while moving.
