Carbon Fiber Engine Cover
I ordered this carbon fiber engine cover below back in December. After getting hung up in Customs for 3 weeks, it arrived well-packaged. The current price shows $280 but I paid $236 plus free shipping.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mOOuBzd The quality & appearance of the carbon fiber pretty much matches any other carbon fiber pieces I have on any of my vehicles, oem or aftermarket. I won't give it a 10 because one little piece did come disconnected (as shown) when I pressed it down on that corner. You can see how that piece was connected. I used a little JB Weld & it's now solid. Pop your engine cover off, remove the 4 rubber pieces from their respective corners & transfer them over to the new cover. The new cover came with the M badge installed so no need to remove the badge from your oe cover. Torque specs I found for the engine cross-brace nuts was 28 nm, fyi. Overall very happy with the purchase for only $236 compared to what most vendors charge for a cf cover.

Looks nice for the $$$. I know the color coded ones from R44 are much more expensive even though I still think they are cool.
This is probably more my budget for an engine cover. Lots more you can do to the car with the savings. |
