M Sport seat wear issue

Anybody with M sports seats had an issue with the seatbelt wearing against the seat back?

I'll get it lodged as a warranty issue but was curious if anyone else had experienced similar.

I'm wondering if that's even the seat belt and not something else that may have happened. The seat belt shows no real signs of wear which is odd.

Not happened on mine but it does look like your seat is quite upright and far forward. If I remember, next time I’m out I’ll see if mine rubs there if I move the seat around.

Yeah, I am not exactly tall, so seat is probably more forward than normal.

Its definitely the belt. The belt shows no wear as its a lot more durable than the seat material. The way the belt comes out of the feeder causes it to have a kink where it rests (on its edge) against the seat back and this lets it act as a knife against the seat.

Yeah just checked. If you seat is far forward, the belt edge does catch there.

Just a quick update, BMW have agreed to replacing the part as a warranty claim.
