Hey forum, I have lost count how many hours I have spent looking for the right M2 with quality mods performed by a reputable shop. I’m looking for the M2 with performance bolt ons….or even better….a full build for street/road race track days & Autocross weekend toy. Not really a BMW guru, but looking over the cost per dollar, the new M2 seems pretty sweet. F87’s do too, but the improvements even with the weight make sense for me. And I prefer the G87 styling and larger square set up options.

So, it appears 600whp is achievable with basic bolt ons, a tune, and flexfuel? Anything more requires more cooling. Suspension mods for track work aren’t cheap either. Does the base M2 (‘23) for $59,000 make for a good starting platform to build or does the $65,000 ‘23-‘24 with unlocked ECU and more miles make better sense? I have found a little bit of everything.

If you know of a G87 with performance mods….let me know where to look. And thanks for chiming in. Favor DCT over manual….but open to either.

Just so you are aware, F87 uses DCT, G87 is ZF 8 speed automatic.
