wow, a nice 1 bedroom apartment here is ~$800 and would probably net you the same square footage or more. the farther north you go from where i am, near downtown, the cheaper it gets. for example, you can buy a 3500 sq ft brand new home in plano, about 20 miles north of me, for $5-700k. and we're talking a NICE home.

$1400ish in the city will get you a super "cozy" 400-500 sq ft studio.

yeehaw gitter dun!!! don't worry, the feeling is mutual. we like things they way they are, which is surprisingly different than the typical texas wild west stereotype. we have it good here...no state income tax, cheap gas cause we make it , low cost of living all over texas, central location for domestic travel, and america's team. not to mention that our state isn't broke, has abundant natural resources (namely oil and gas), and our job markets don't suck! but other than that, yea you'd be stupid to live here.

I know, Dude ..Texas was a frequent destination for me before moving to California. I had friends in Dallas (Richardson) and Houston and Plano was a frequent destination on long weekend when I was coaching an U-14 boys soccer team but ...I still don't know about Texans, my friend Last edited by Tondtar; 05-18-2009 at 01:48 AM.. |
