I really wonder about Vijay's comments that they released him on good faith, with no monetary settlement.

They haven't announced it yet - I'm guessing Liuzzi will move up from their test driver slot.

Although a part of me understands case for doing such a thing, i feel gutted for Badoer. He was entitled to this after years of loyal service largely staying off the limelight.

However, being a test driver, extremely off pace with the rest of the grid is not acceptable.

Wow, thats massive for Giancarlo...another chance with a top tier team. I never really liked him, but hopefully he'll show what he's capable of in a Ferrari.

He wasn't entitled to anything. This is a sport. He was employed by the most famous team in the world and he couldn't deliver. It's as simple as that.

Ferrari felt that he could deliver adequately for the past 10 years. Luca is partly credited with helping the return of Ferrari to form in 2000 (their first drivers championship in 21 years).

We would be much more efficient if every human endeavor is driven by sound logic and reasoning but it just isn't and Ferrari understands this, why else would they try to bring back an injured and out of form Schumacher back?

It was like a thank you present for the 10 years of service. Just like Lamborghini building the 2wd Gallardo for Valentino Balboni.

In that case, Ferrari should've given Ross Brawn the race seat. He did much more for the team.

As I stated before, it is a sport. The pinnacle of motorsport. There's no time for thank you's with the amount of money involved, not to mention reputation.

I'm pretty sure if Ross Brawn asked to drive the car, they would let him (minus the fact he is an owner/principal of a competing team).

Why would Brawn want to drive a Ferrari?

He's got his own team now. Here, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brawn_GP
