I'm in NOLA right now, and for the past two nights I've been hanging out on Bourbon St. (no shit, what else are you going to do in NOLA?)

Tonight it was just crazy with Gator fans because of the LSU-FL game later today. It was nuts, with tons of chicks, drunks and fools. I saw TONS of beads tossed out without following the proper procedures.

WHAT THE HELL??!!

I saw chicks getting beads just for throwing up their hands and begging for them. I only saw one MIDWTF* showing her assets for beads, but otherwise beads were tossed out for no reason at all.

NOLA, you disappoint me.....



I got one set of beads tossed at me, but at least the stripper rubbed them on her ass first!

Haha, good analogy!! The funniest thing I saw was the two 65+ grandmas with their hands up begging for beads. Thankfully they were not flashing.

That's funny Tondtar! If they were cheap, I bet people would throw them out, especially at Mardi Gras.

I do have one funny story about the French Quarter. This whole trip was for work, and I was with my boss who is a huge Red Sox fan. So we were walking around the French Quarter on Friday night, looking for a good spot to watch the game. We go a few streets off of Bourbon, just to check it out.

I don't remember the exact cross streets, but he spots a bar on the corner called "The Double Play." Sounds like a great sports bar to watch a baseball game in. We start heading over to it, then I notice the neon signs and connect a few dots. Let's see if you all can connect the dots too....

One neon is for Bud Light, which if you are at all familiar with the logo is "Bud Light" written inside a blue oval (either complete or 3/4 full.) This one is a little different though, as instead of the usual blue light oval, it has a multi-color oval. Hmmm......

The second neon that pegs a certain radar is a Miller Lite one, which has a small rainbow below the Miller Lite logo with "pride" written off to the side. Really big Hmmmm.....



Me: "Uh, boss? I think that might be a gay bar."
Him: "Really? How do you figure?"
Me: "Check out the neons. Notice the rainbow with "pride" and the rainbow colors around the BL logo......"
Him: "Ah, I think you are right! Didn't even notice...."

A quick iPhone Google search confirmed my suspicions. Needless to say, we found a different spot to watch the game.....
