Craft Beer Drinkers Unite!!

Anyone in here enjoy some good craft beer. I'm not talking about Bud, Miller, or Coors. I'm talking about some dogfish head, Brooklyn, rogue and beers of that sort.
I was at a bar last night and they had Rogue Chocolate Stout on tap. Damn was that good ...

Love Dogfish Head. Usually go to the bar in Rehoboth a few times a year. They have great food. Recently took a liking to Chimay red and Dale's Pale Ale. I have a few good small beer bars walking distance from me in Baltimore, not to mention The Brewers Art about 10 min away. Great micro-brewery and restaurant that won Esquire magazines top bar in the country this year.

The whole Bell's linep is solid, and so is Three Floyds. Gumball Head especially.

I really enjoy Miller 64 and Bud 55.

No need to drink water. Just drink those.

I was down in Baltimore a couple of weeks ago and was at the Pratt street Ale House. That place had a really solid line up of beers. I also swung by DuClaw over in fells point. I took home a growler of their Octoberfest. The growler itself is pretty sweet with the flip top lid..

Never seen Bud 55 before. Can't imagine it tasting too good though... How does it compare to Miller 64?

It would be hard for me to tell you the answer because I will not drink that spew.

I know it is not a craft and all but Shiner has a couple I have quantities of for company. Shiner Black and Commemorative.

Must support the brewery down the Intersate.

Trust me. Go to the basement bar at Brewers Art next time you're in town. It is never very crowded, and has the coolest atmosphere not to mention great beer and music. I would get dinner upstairs, then drinks downstairs. They bottle two of their better beers now, Resurrection and Ozzy, but they just don't taste right compared to the tap version.

I was at another bar.. An Irish place, "Mc" something and I believe I had the resurrection. Is that the Belgian style that they make? If it's the same one that shit was delicious.

Yep, they sell it at a fair amount of local bars that focus on beer.

Most of DFH is too boutique to be enjoyable except to super douchey East coast beer snob types. That said, 90 IPA truely is win. Rogue seems to be full of win as well, especially their Oatmeal Chocolate Stout and their Brown Hazelnut Nectar. Stone makes some pretty damn big beers as well, but they all tend to be too much for me, beyond the first 12oz or so. I guess I'm truly not worthy.

Goddamn right! Craft beers are where it's at - they're what beer supposed to taste like.

I'm all about some Flying Dog Snake IPA or Big Boss (Raleigh brewery). Try some Hazed and Infused if you live in Colorado; it's local from Boulder I think, but random restaurants may sell it. VERY good stuff.

Oberon has been kinda meh the past couple seasons.... Dunno why, but others have agreed that it's become a bit too yeasty or something. I can't put my finger on exactly what's changed, but I remember it being a bit "lighter" and more "summer-y" than it's been this year. Don't get me wrong; I don't like really light beer, but Oberon used to be what I considered a perfect summer brew in the Bell's lineup, but it's been slipping lately, and I find myself reaching for the Third Coast and Two Hearted more and more often. Also, the Cherry Stout is a winner if I want a beer that'll taste good and make me feel like complete shit the next morning. Six of those will usually do a number on me.

Oberon is definitely a nice brew. Way better than Blue Moon which is what I was told it was comparable to.

I never had Oberon until about a month ago but it was better than the majority of beers I drink of a weekly basis. I tried Chimay that same night and was quite impressed though.

Southern Tier's Chokolat is probably one of my favorites of all time. Their imperial red is at the top of my list too.
