Official BimmerPost Photo Contest #23: Cast a Shadow!

RULES:

1. Any interpretation of the theme that falls within Bimmerpost.com rules is welcome.
2. You must be the person that took the photo. Previous photos are acceptable as long as you are the one that captured the image.
3. One submission per contest.
4. Images must be no larger than 800px in any direction. Links to larger images are allowed but you must have one that is under 800px for the poll.
5. All contestants must host their own pictures (which includes hosting them on Bimmerpost).
6. All images must have a title.
7. While post processing in Photoshop is allowed, adding or removing parts of the picture is not. In the event a photo is suspected to be "photo-chopped," the contestant will be asked to provide the original picture.

THEME:

A photo that contains a shadow(s) as part of the central element or subject. The shadow(s) should be obvious, not a small soft shadow around a bowl of fruit for example, but something striking or obvious. "Striking" does not necessarily mean a hard edge shadow either.

*I reserve the right to enforce these standards as necessary.

Be creative, have fun, don't get hurt or arrested!

IMPORTANT DATES:

Entries must be submitted to this thread no later than Saturday May 22 @ 11:59 PM PDT (That's real late on Friday night really...) That is 4 full weeks folks, no reason at all NOT to enter. Expand your photographic horizons, venture out of your comfort zone.

The poll will commence shortly thereafter.

Finally! An entry! I need to get off my butt and take some pics too. But as luck would have it, I've been on the road this week, and will be for the next two weeks as well. But the sun is finally poking out, so maybe a chance to capture some natural light cast shadows is upon me....

I'll likely extend, as I haven't had a chance to produce something myself. I'm running this contest, so there!

Yes, a real shadow. Not backlighting or a silhouette. Now, if the backlighting or silhouette happens to also cast a shadow, then that works! Make sense?

Excellent! Growing is about getting outside the comfort zone, tackling a tough assignment. And yet, here I am, with no submission myself. What's the technical term for that? Oh yeah, hypocrite!!
