Now the big change is with engines. They will be going back to turbos (4 cyl, 1.6L engines) with a 12,000 rpm redline and 500 bar. In other words, these guys will now be driving motorcycle engines, which is a huge disappointment in my eyes.

I hate the team orders ruling. Bad enough when it was illegal. Now they'll be doing it at will. And I agree, the tiny engines rule may suck royally. But if the engineers can figure out a way to produce kick-ass horsepower from tiny four cylinder engines, I'll be mightily impressed. I can't see how they'll get any decent torque, but they've worked miracles in the past.

The move to biomass fuels is a very good thing. Hopefully it will quickly trickle down to the consumer level.

I don't mind this. I can guarantee you there's always going to be team orders in any team-based form of motorsports, legal or otherwise. This just cuts out all the bullshit. Oh and I pray to God that these 4-bangers break the trend of worse sounding engines. Every time F1 cut down the amount of cylinders, the sound was ruined further. The V8's today sound like space ships or some shit compared to the V10's and (especially) V12's of old

This is bound to happen cause its hard to enforce, they have to record the "team order" in direct message to ask the driver to slow down and let team-mate win "that kind of message", even with Ferrari less than coded message was found ok in WMSC. Then in the future there will be tonnes of coded message about car trouble etc to ask the driver to slow down..etc...
Unless the FIA lawyers can find a better wording or way to prohibit team orders, its just a stupid rule that they cannot enforce.

+1

Even though I'm not impressed of what Ferrari had done in Germany. But as a team sport, this is bound to happen, ordering teams players in finish in a fashion to maximize the chances to win WDC who has more chances and will.

I don't like it, but its a stupid rule unless F1 is reverted back to one car per team.

it was bound to happened sooner or later, teams want control, so leave it up to them for to decide. Kinda like RBR did last season and let their two guys race, most thought this was a bad move after Brazil and SV eneded up winning the WDC due to the fact RBR stayed out of it

We all think it's fine until some team makes a driver stop short of the finish line to wait for a second place team member to pass him.

Oh, and isn't this the man in charge?
