That interior looks nice. BMW certainly does look a little spartan in comparison. But in my opinion it comes down to this...what would I rather have?
1) better interior (Audi) or better looking exterior (BMW)? 2) better wet grip (Audi w/ Quattro) or better handling/steering wheel feedback (BMW) I always seem to end up picking the BMW. I really was seriously looking at the Audi A4 before I bought my E90. If I was buying a coupe...I think I would seriously consider the A5...but end up buying the E92. |

Audi does make the nicest interiors for cars under 60K. Had to have the new A6 when it came out because I thought that car had it all, but it just didn't drive like a BMW.

To clear the whole A5 vs. 3 series issue up, a lot of people say the S5 isnt as good as the M3, well look:
Audi A5 Coupe vs. BMW 3 Series Coupe Audi S5 Coupe vs. BMW 335i Coupe Audi RS5 Coupe vs. BMW M3 Coupe Thats how simple it is. The S5 is not an M3 competitor, in my opinion, neither is the RS4. Well think about it, it IS a 4 door saloon. Which means: Audi RS5 Coupe vs. BMW M3 Coupe Audi RS4 Saloon vs. BMW M3 Saloon Its really quite simple. Then I guess it just comes down to taste and performance. Lets be honest, both cars look great. I like the new 3 Coupe, looks good on the road, but I also think the A5/S5 design is great too. Cmon look at the S5 pic I attached. I also prefer the Audi interior, especially in the S5, look at the seats. I dunno though, they are both really great cars, but I seem to prefer the Audi at the mo. I wonder what the RS5 will be like compared to the new M3. I was looking on rsportcars.com and it says the RS4 is 5kg lighter than the E92 M3 ! This should be very interesting, dont forget the new IS-F too, I know everyone might not agree with the styling but looking at the engine, brakes etc. It sounds good, woulda been better if it was a manual though...

Maybe the RS4 is 5kg lighter than the E92. However the BMW has more power and you said yourself, the RS4 is supposedly the competetor to the M3 E90, not the E92. I'll admit though, can't wait to see the RS5. Should be one hell of a brute!

I just checked on Topgear.com cus that's where I seen the date.
"The A5 is due to hit the UK in June, though if you're really keen you can already log your order. Prices start at just over £30,000, but you'll pay a ten grand premium over that for the S5. "

I guess Audi is out of fresh ideas so they needed to model both the interior and exterior after what BMW has been doing for a while now

I'm also one of the (seemingly) few who thinks the 3's interior has just the right amount of clutter, or lack there of. I love the s5's exterior, a bit heavy on the e92 influences imo, but nonetheless very sleek. The rear's a little so-so to me, and the interior is too cluttered, but I love the seats.
