Wow...I'm not sure how I would've handeled a situation like that...I'd be at a loss for words. This is probably a situation where you think of the perfect response hours later because you're caught so off guard at the time.

the only reason the prius got worse mileage was because it was getting flogged.

in real world conditions the prius will always get better mileage.

im saying in any conditions where you cant drive like a complete pussy the gas mileage drops significantly on the prius where as a normal car will then excel.

i had a prius as a loaner car for a few days. I drove it hard and got an avg of 24 mpg or so. thats how it should be.
