How many hours do you NOT do any work at work?
How many hours of zero-productivity do you spend each day?
I just want to know some honest self-eval answers to know where I am at relative to others.

If you added it all up maybe 1hr total or a little over. But it's not like I take an hour out of the day and say "I'm not doing shit." It's usually in 3-5min increments while on hold or waiting for a return call or something like that.

Multiple screens FTW... I can multi-task very well... There is never really a time when I am not working on something while I am on E90. For instance, I am on the phone with someone right now while I am typing this. Having a conversation while thinking about what I am writing... I am pretty sure BTM is the same way with multiple screens. Funny thing is, I still get more shit done than half my employees who don't have access to the same websites I do.

It's funny though.. every once and a while I will be on the phone and someone will have said something retarded on the forums. It will cause me to skip a beat on the phone. I will then have to apologize for a moment and collect myself.

I'm in the Army and my only formation is at 0700. from 0800 on I am off from work. My day is an hour of waiting around to get told to go home and then I hang out at home all day.

Well, I generally come in at least fifteen minutes late. I use the side door, that way [insert my boss' name] can't see me. Uh, and after that, I just sorta space out for about an hour.
Yeah. I just stare at my desk but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too. I'd probably, say, in a given week, I probably do about fifteen minutes of real, actual work. No joke, my job is very similar to Peter Gibbons', and unfortunately, my decent salary comes at the cost of tax payers. I'll have a task come in that takes me 15min followed by months of down time. |

That's just sad; time to educate her. Was the joke about her "O" face?

A decent amount of my day is downtime. I work out of my car and can clock in/out withy phone. Driving counts towards work time.
I did serve documents for foreclosure today on a house with a $14k/mo mortgage. Sucks for them.
