How is that related to the SLS AMG?

In the same way as SLS AMG is related to SLR McLaren. It is instead of SLS AMG, but not a direct replacement/successor. It will be smaller, lighter and sportier.

SLS AMG is target at the R8 and other supercars. This one is target at the 911 Turbo.

Edit: I meant 991S. This should be around $140k when all is said and done. Perhaps an M6 competitor too.

The R8 and the 911 turbo are roughly the same price...I think the turbo S gets more expensive than the R8.

The back end is shaped like a MKIV Supra

Wasn't the rumor that the SLS is really just the Viper chassis with an AMG motor and flappy doors? When MB and Chrysler split, MB held onto the chassis. Or so one theory goes.

I have heard that but the most popular belief is the SLS is the Viper Chassis that wasn't. Once the split Fiat built a new one with the help of Ferrari.

It looks somewhat believable. The front end surfacing doesn't seem to fall inline with the newly released models though; it's far less sculpted. Some things look a bit off on a render basis too... artifacts around the C-pillar, lack of clear reflection along the shoulder plane, etc.

I think it's a render. The environment is too weird to be from MB. It looks like the car is chilling in the Phantom of the Opera's lair.
