That commercial was ridiculous...
I've thought about the P3, but it's almost 500 in the vent and 350 for a DIY job (on my car that is). The display gauge connects to the OBD2 port, and is more or less reading whatever CAN signal the ECU is spitting out. I've read that the boost isn't very accurate, but I think you can tap into a line with a hardware adapter for a more accurate reading. Sat in a guys E92 the other day who had a JB4 on his car, which included the ability to turn some of his in-dash dials (the fuel gauge) into a boost gauge. Pretty cool! I'll probably install a front/rear dash cam setup before doing this. Then I'll consider a boost gauge once I finally man up and install a pulley upgrade + stg2 tune |
