I love Rip Off Report. A builder who f*cked me over is on there now (I didn't post it, someone else he screwed over did) and when you do a Google search for this guy, it's the first thing that pops up!

I believe it's called SEO ( Search Engine Optimization) A marketing agency can move it from the third to the first page and give it higher traffic.

This would typically involve making modifications to the page on Rip Off reports so not really practical as the OP doesn't own the site.

Post up what the name of the dealer is and what sites you reviewed them on. Then everyone can search and start clicking them making it so google recognizes it as the most related to the searches.

it comes down to wording of the ripoff report. I know anytime I am about to deal with a online company or such that I never done business with I do a search on review of company name and ripoff and consumers complaints usually comes up first.
I have noticed that some company now put on their website their own customer reviews so that their own biased reviews come up first over what can be found on ripoff or other websites. If all someone is searching on is the dealer name your review may never show up in the first page or so since google uses relevant search results to know what to display first so if the dealer is paying google for ad words they will always come up first. The other way to get it to the top is your review will need lots of hits, so linking it to lots of other website will help. Look up the santorum google problem, this guy could never get his own website to show up first over the guy who's mission in life was to make Santorum look like an ass. You can't expect it to be on the first page of google search if you aren't the owner of the webpage. What you should do is reach out to local media and online media and get this story blown wide open.

Last year I did finally find out why the local dealer will not negotiate on the price. My son happen to get a summer job at the local Dealer group which owns the BMW along with a number of other high end cars. He found out that they do not negotiate since they throw in lots of extras which they never advertise. Such as free inspections for the life of any car you service with them, free oil changes, they provide loners with any car you service with them, they will even come to your house and pick up the car. They also will repair minor scratch and such in the car when you bring it in for servicing for free, my son use to have to run customer cars over to the detailing shop for these kinds of things. Grant it even if I had known this, I probably would have bought elsewhere since I tend to do most all my our work when I can. But I am hearing more and more high end dealers and especially ones which own a number of car dealership do these kinds of things for their customs thus the reason they do not deal on the price and why they treat people who will not just pay as crappy customers. They us who will negotiate and shop for good deals as a customer they rather not have. |

I think at one point or another we’ve all been screwed by a dealership. BMW TRIED to get me to pay for repairs on a loaner car.
I had dropped off my Z4 for routine maintenance. Apparently there was a small 2 inch scratch on the front bumper of their 2013 3 series they loaned me. During the walk around inspection I missed it, the service attendant missed it, and I drove off to work. When I returned it later that day the clerk at the front desk gets on his hands and knees looking at the front bumper. I asked him if there was a problem and this guy completely ignored me. He goes inside and disappears for 5 minutes and returns with the Manager. The Manager then gets on his hands and knees, looks at the scratch and says: we’re going to have to repair that. I said go ahead, but I’m not paying for it so whoever you report to I need to speak to whoever that person reports to. I explained that you can’t expect the customer to get down on all fours looking for every little defect. Besides, the car just came out of the car wash and was dripping wet. He goes inside and returns 5 minutes later and says: Don’t worry we’ll take care of it. I said I was never worried |

So you launch a campaign to force them to make money off of you? I would just move on and go to another dealer or find an indie shop. |

1) Happy customer... Happy Dealer A... loads of business together. 2) Tried to negotiate a new car deal... Dealer A would not bend to your pricing... ended up buying car from Dealer B. 3) Tried to bring car into service to now pissed Dealer A and they refused to service your car. 4) Called Lexus Corporate and they said too bad... its Dealers A prerogative to refuse service. If the above is correct was the "service" in question part of the Lexus Complimentary Service or a Warranty repair? Or is it service you pay out of pocket? |
