Smoked like a sausage, humbled my a moded M3
I lined up against an M3 today for the first time since driving my 1er. I should have known better. The old fart behind the wheel had a smirk on his face. I asked him if it was modded. He claimed to have an ecu upgrade and intake. Other than that, it looked stock.
Anyhow, he whopped my ass by 1/1.5 cars off the line...twice. I hit all my gears perfect both times. No traction issues or anything else. I have a JB4 (Map #1), ETC Charge P, Tial BOV, DCI, 93 Octane & PSS 225/255. Next up are AR downpipes and Map #2. If anyone has had it handed to them with similar mods, let me know. Also, for those who can actually take M3's or other natural big engines...let me know what you did to get there. Last edited by TUN3D; 12-10-2011 at 06:03 PM.. |

I am surprised you even tried to race him without the DPs installed.

I think backing down would have been worse. It's the unknown factor that I didn't want to deal with. At least I know where I stand. It was my first time vs. an M3. I took on a vette a few weeks ago and also got punched in the mouth (1.5 car lengths).
How much closer are the downpipes gonna get me though? To have a legit shot, I'm assuming, meth is needed. |
