This has to be the case. After all, Nascar races in Watkins Glenn (plenty of elevation changes) and has raced at some point (I believe) at Laguna Seca (again plenty of elevation and a couple of blind turns as well as corkskrew). I must disclose that I am not a Nascar fan, but I do think a professional driver (albeit in Nascar) such as DW would not have reacted in such a way unless he were attempting to entertain the general Nascar public. At least I hope so.
