pre owned bmw--->certified pre owned

if i buy a bmw used from a non bmw dealer is it true i can take it to a certified bmw dealer and they could inspect it and make it "certified?"

Might just be cheaper to buy an aftermarket warranty.

No it's only a certified car if the dealer chooses to certify it.

You can however buy an extended maintainence plan.
