Best Bassist?
Sorry, as a bass player I've got to give my peeps some due! haha
There's so many to choose from with so many different styles, thus why I left out the 'rock' in the title. I'd have to say my top 2 are P Nut (311..) and Captain Reckless from a little known Psychobilly band Zombie Ghost Train Solo starts about 2:25 LOVE ME SOME UPRIGHT SLAPPIN!!!

Now...
My vote goes to Christopher Wolstenholme of Muse. This guy is incredible in what he can do for extended periods of time. Beginning of Hysteria is awesome. Classic...Chris Squire of Yes. But, I'd lose all my brownie points if I didn't say my daughter was #1, Who's band is playing at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday.

Les Claypool and Tony Levin. I enjoy P Nut as I was a die hard 311 fan growing up but I wouldn't put him in my top 5.
