? for doctors...

can someone "outgrow" the effects of accutane? i had problems with acne growing up, took accutane in college and it worked well. had pretty good skin for a while.

but the past 2-3 years, it seems like my hormones are back to my 17-yr old level (i'm 34 and sadly popping pimples again). did a quick search on google and found nothing. and no, i'm not curious enough to pay a doctor to ask this.

some more background: i also had mild asthma as a toddler, and outgrew that by the time i was a teen.

I also used accutane when I was in school. Cleared it right up but had a few of the side effects. But it's quite common with some users for it to come roaring back. I haven't had any need to try any other acne meds anymore but I also found that erythromycin worked well for me.
