Big Boys Come Out to Play @ Monticello NY
I got invited by Guardian Angel Motorsports to go up to The Monticello Motor Club in NY and take some pictures of their annual charity track event and enjoy the nice cars. This is the second year I covered the event and they ended up raising $35K this weekend.. It was sponsored by Ferrari/Maserati of New England this year and the food they provided was terrific!
There were heavy rains on and off the first day that didn't clear up until around 5pm. The brave drivers still went out and raced their rare $250K exotics but conditions got too treacherous right after lunch and the MMC closed the track for a few hours. There was lots of standing water everywhere and hydroplaning was a big risk. The second day however was gorgeous! The turn out was not quite what I experienced last year (I don't know if I'll ever experience anything like that again), but it was still fairly decent. I think the rain kept a lot of people away. Loved this F430 Scud in Guards Red. The owner sat with us at dinner and was such a nice guy. Everyone there was so unbelievable friendly and open. He also owns an F40 and a 599GTO....and he is allowed a distribution on a LaFerrari and is considering it.

Great pics! I see a disproportionately high number of LRPs around here. Were they only sold in the northeast?

A Guards Red Scuderia? Isn't that a Porsche color (and a brighter shade, similar to Rosso Scuderia)? I'm not doubting you, I'm just really curious.
