First clean up your internet files. Delete all that junk you dont need 3 weeks worth of website info.
Also do you have flash installed properly? That is what it is speaking of.

Infact I kinda have a problem too guys. I keep getting popups and spyware has been cleaned using a very thorough program. Also, in taskmanager, iexplorer.exe always appears with veryyyy high memory usage. It happens even when I'm not on the net. When I end the process it starts again after few secs and goes up very high memory usage again. So annoying. It's messing up net surfing. Websites keep freezing. I think it's to do with this popup thing...

1st problem: You're using windows.
2nd problem: You're using IE. 3rd and most severe problem: You're using Vista. (XP I don't really mind and it works relatively well, but Vista is like a Yugo, even when new it runs like shit and it ages even worse)

I remember awhile back my computer got fucked by ads and the memory usage happened aswell. It eventually got so bad that i would turn on my computer and it would only stay on for 1 minute do to so much memory usage. Try figuring out what programs you have running and then get rid of them. Anti-virus programs are garbage. Also try and find a really good cleanup use it once and get rid of it. If still doesnt work well. Backup your stuff and reinstall. Quote:
And yes thats correct delete the history, cookies etc. Do every week or so. Clears up space makes it run faster. I also see you have symantec and such. Thats gonna make things run slow and sometimes even interferes with programs. Im not a huge fan of those kind of softwares. Quote:
Everything can be used if used properly. My girlfriends mac locked up on me 2 times last week and its only a few months old and she doesnt do shit besides word with it. That really shouldnt have happened even with windows. Does that mean Apple sucks? No means its a computer and fucks up occasionaly.

Install Firefox and reinstall the Flash plug-in. Use both programs at the same sites to see if the error reappears. If both IE and FF give problems, then it's probably Flash. If the problem only exists with IE, then it may have been due to an update to IE that has broken something.

Yeah I was running spyware doctor. Very good cleanup program.
Another problem I had was that when I log on, the desktop wont load, but my docs opens. I had to start "explorer.exe" from the task manager and then its fine. I restored my comp though and that doesnt happen anymore. Just cant get rid of the stupid popups! Edit: I've tried spybot and spyware doctor and it wont work!

People complained about that the first month so much. And then they found out you can take it off. Again, like with our vehicles if you read the god damn manual and if you understand things then it will run fine. Vista has ran good for me so far and im above an average user.

99% of my persoanl business these days is destroying pop-ups and the like. Most times it's more time-effective to slave their drive into my system, scan it, copy their docs, then format C and re-install.
Vista is a PiTA and I won't install it at work. Since any new system that comes in gets a Format C and clean install, I will use the old XP disks with the Vista license to stay XP on the desktops. |
