My trip to Valentine Research (for a new V1)
I've had my V1 for for quite some time and I thought I'd take advantage of thier upgrade program. Since I live just a little north of Cincinnati where they are located I thought I'd take a drive down and pick it up instead of paying $16 shipping. Plus I was curious to see what the place looked like. Well, if any of you have had visions of grandeur, this will quickly dismiss them. I called ahead of time and they said they would get the order ready for me to come down and pick it up.
Here are some pics from the trip. I only took my point and shoot and it was raining, so forgive the pic quality. Heading down I75 to Cinci. Get off at Reed-Hartman Hwy Valentine is on Alliance Rd. In the BlueAsh Office Center Can anyone find the Valentine office in this picture??? Hint: its on the left. There it is. If not for the small writing on the door, you'd never know it. You enter to a very small waiting area and behind these doors are where the phone operators sit. The woman in the orange top came out to greet me and in this picture is looking for my order. I commented to the woman how non-descript the place is. She said, "That's how we like it." Unfortunately Mike Valentine wasn't there to come out and greet me with my new V1. The new V1 is working so much better that I already haven't gotten any tickets.

Shame, it would've been nice to see some of his collection. I'm not sure what he drives around usually, but apparently he has a brace of Individual Porsches (including a Carrera GT) that are all painted the same color yellow.

Thats exactly how I felt when I went to King Motorsports in Wisconsin. For those who don't know, they're the sole distributor of Mugen parts in the states. I was expecting a nice garage with some type of front office but honestly the place looks like a shack with a gravel parking lot in the middle of the sticks.
