Damn, ya'll are seriously underestimating the GT-R's capabilities and value...
What Nissan has done with the VR38 is truly a masterpiece. AND the GT-R has quite a matching aesthetic presence. All for $100K...you've got to be an imbecile to bash on Nissan for their marketing tactics. |

FWIW, he said inferior *brand*, not inferior car. They're applying the same type of advertising etiquette that they use on their Sentra SE-R to their flagship sports car. It's not really necessary. Acura advertised in a similar fashion when the NSX was introduced but stopped when the rest of the automotive world evolved and they stayed stuck in the mud for a decade.
