2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit opinions

Curious if any other members have made the move from an e9x to a new Jeep Grand Cherokee? I'm very impressed with the interior and features on the latest Jeeps. My last two cars have been e92 335xi's so the change would be quite a departure.

Has anybody else made this move? What are your impressions on the latest Jeep Grand Cherokees?

My wife just got a 15 Overland. Has a couple extras like the blind spot monitor and such. I really like it a lot. Went with the V6 instead of the V8 or Diesel. Summit is another step up but not sure if its really worth the expense.

Second on our list was the MDX but the interior did not seem as nice.

Great car I just picked up a limited ecodiesel as a daily only because the dealer gave me a great deal on one off the show room floor. The summit comes with a hefty price tag at the top of their list, if I could redo it I would probably go with an overland. They seem the best equipped for the price. V6 would be perfectly fine as a daily. Go diesel if you want to fill up once every 700 miles or so, v8 if you need the power
Other then that its definitely the car I drive the most! Good luck!

The wife has a Summit and I have an Overland, both of them EcoDiesels and 2014's. They are great vehicles. I am averaging over 25 mpg in about 70%/30% highway/city miles, but I do run it pretty fast. Mine is the Mineral Silver and hers is the Granite Chrystal. I really like the looks of the Overland in the silver, but the only reason I didn't buy myself a Summit is that it isn't available in Silver, and that's the color I wanted. The Summit is worth the extra money IMHO. The nicer stereo; roof liner; front PDC and I am pretty sure more sound proofing makes it worth the upgrade, although I don't like the wheels on the Summit as much. Btw, these EcoDiesels are THE engine to have in the GC. The V6 just doesn't have the torque and the 5.7 Hemi whilst a great motor, will average about 8-10 mpg less than I'm currently seeing.

We have a 2014 Overland Hemi and love it. It's a great car and the MDS on the highway makes for great mileage (I got 25mpg on a 4hr trip). The air suspension is also really neat. It's really the best value out there.
