Tesla’s Tanking U.S. Sales And The World Of Automakers Falsifying Sales Numbers
The auto journo world is in a tizzy because electric automaker Tesla refuses to post its car sales numbers on a monthly basis and the numbers they do divulge are suspicious as they are without detail and they vary widely from actual registration numbers. ...here are the facts as near as we can determine: Automotive News has estimated Tesla’s reported sales in the US through October were 19,530 units. Actual registration numbers for the same period were 11,731 cars, a full 40% below the sales figures. Further, these registration figures show Tesla off 22% from the same period in 2013. Other sources have pegged the drop off at 26% this year.

I see more Telsa's everyday than some BMW models. It is far from vaporware, as someone stated above. |

It's a response from someone in Europe, where the brand barely exists. I see easily a half dozen a day and drive by two supercharging stations in my short 12 mile commute.

In the top 25 wealthiest zip codes in the United States, the Tesla Model S is the single most registered made/model of car.
Depending on where you live, they are perhaps the most common car you will see on the road. Drive on the SF Peninsula or Silicon Valley and I guarantee you will see more Teslas in a given time frame than any other model car. In PoDunk Arkansas, perhaps not so much. |

See quite a few Tesla's downtown Toronto everyday. It's a regional thing.

Yeah, they should definitely release a Tesla with a manual trans. I'm tired of all these autos.
