Yeah, looks like an Audi commercial. I mean, it looks cool but what is the storyline as it relates to the other movies?

It's meant to be a prequel; there was an article on Jalopnik about it several weeks ago.
I've got mixed feelings about Jason Statham not being in it. Only the first Transporter had BMW in it (naturally that is my favorite Transporter); the last 2 had Audi. I'm sure it'll still be badass but I really like Jason Statham so this new actor has some big shoes to fill. |

From what I can see... He will do just fine. Especially considering the film is by Luc Besson! That is the main concern and what makes the franchise epic. That guy is a genius: Taken Trilogy among MANY more.

Ugh, I'm a huge fan of Statham and the first three Transporter flicks but this movie looks terrible. Statham pulls off the character, this guy looks just like another modern metro weenie boy doing a genre that's been done 10000000k times already.

This one doesn't seem to have the feel of the other three. Agreed that the male lead looks like a modern metro weenie boy.
I guess Statham didn't want to do it? I know he's getting older, but common.

Not quite the same without Statham and it kind of did look like a glorified Audi commercial. I hope the car isn't going to be able to come out completely unphased after reach action sequence (like in the last couple). Oh, and I did notice the transporter now sports an Omega Speedmaster.
