You'll get biased opinions on fanboy sites of all car manufacturers. I'm sure the IS350 is a fast car and probably close to our E92 in a straight line, but that's about it in the performance category. The rest go to our 335i coupes.

From a luxury standpoint, I'll give it to Lexus easily. My last ES300 was comfortable and luxurious to a fault. But when it comes to driving a car, the Lexus felt like driving couch down the road. That's not something you want from a GT car.

Now when the F series come out, then we'll see. But the competition for the IS-F will be the M3, not the stock 335i.

You do know that the post in your link here is well over 1 year old right?

It was posted in October 2006 when only the 335i Coupe was out and really nobody knew much about the 335i and it's performance.
I think most IS350 owners know NOW that the 335i pulls a bit on it stock and they know the 335i is underrated, and they know that a simple piggyback and they don't have a chance of even staying within 4 car lengths.

IS350 is a quick car stock
335i is a slightly quicker car stock.

No biggie.

Toothdoc is in denial. What's the fastest 1/4 stock time nowadays anyways?

That actually seemed pretty unbiased. By the end, others set the OP straight on which one's fastest. Still, the IS350 gives the 335i a good run.
