Bolton n55 335xi to Bolton b8 s4 both manual

Has anyone made the switch over and been content? I've been thinking about other fun options. The exhaust note and light bolton speed have me intrigued along with the awd system. Who has or would?

I did test drive one last summer. But stock and modified are completely different. Nevermind having a salesman next to you : (

Garage List
2010 135i Coupe  [5.26]
Depends on year. I went from a 2010 135i with iDrive to a 2010 S4 with MMI and the MMI was complete shit. Lags like crazy and was not very intuitive. I also find the thumb wheels on the steering wheel very annoying (much prefer a click or button - two options down is two clicks, etc). I would take the iDrive system over that in a heartbeat.

As far as driving - I had a pretty loaded up S4 with the dynamic suspension and diff and stuff. It was really nice to drive, especially being able to soften the suspension on the fly. I found that very handy.

I put the AWE exhaust on my S4 and it was the best sounding car under $125k, IMHO. The thing sounded like a fucking beast. I do miss that aspect. I will say that the car did feel noticeably slower than my Cobb tuned 135i but it is larger and AWD, so I cut it some slack. Still faster than most cars on the road.'

You should also know that a replacement clutch for the S4 is a $5k job through the dealer. The guy who bought mine had to replace it and was none to happy.

Wow didn't realize it was a 5k job. Why do pricey, guess crazy labor. I have a '13 e92 and would probably go 2012-13. I didn't have I-drive and don't care much about that. I don't use navigation or those features to be honest.

Yes, I made the switch F30 to B8.5 S4. Mine is "bolt on" (Tune, pulley, intake). Very happy with it.
