Sounds like you really need to test drive an X5M. I was shocked when I compared it to my 50i with DHP. The handling in Comfort is better than Sport + in dhp. So much more HP. It drives like a totally different vehicle. 35 to 50 is a minor jump. 50 to M is a major jump.

With both SUVs making more than 550 hp, Lieberman wants to know how the SUV coupes will do in a drag race against the 505-hp Chevrolet Camaro Z/28. The BMW nails the quarter-mile in 12.1 seconds at 114.3 mph ahead of the muscle car (12.3 seconds @ 116.1 mph) and Mercedes-AMG (12.5 seconds @ 110.5 mph).
Test drive ? Lol. |

I drove a new X5M a few weeks ago, it was VERY impressive. I almost didn't want to drive it, was worried I'd hate my F15 after the drive. I guess my BMW salesman knows what he's doing. Haha.

get the x5m , e63 amg or the M3. you wont be disappointed with the M3, s55 is potent and underrated and has great roadfeedback. drive the ones you are considering. after you drive you will know which is the one

since there are near none on the market i like the idea of the s6, but if it was me i would go with something different so maybe the used rs7. other options are good, but it sounds like you might get bored with them. |

If you track your current X5 you should really go for a spin in the Macan Turbo. Gobs of power handles amazingly well. Very versatile machine. Solid all around vehicle not much to complain about. If it's a bit too dear the S is no slouch, that's what we had.

I haven't driven the new M3 or M4, but if you want a larger vehicle and AWD, sounds like it's out.
I have driven the S7, RS7, and S8 (no S6) and absolutely love them. The S7 really has all the power you need, and has room for tuning. The RS7 is just ridiculous, in a good way, but they cost much more than S8's on the used market. Also, I love the S/RS7's front end, but don't care for the back half. The S8, on the other hand, is much more elegant and refined in design, and is more enjoyable to drive leisurely, imo. I think I would personally go S6 or S8. |

Now that I have X5 xDrive50i with Dynamic Handling Package, I want to own the X5M or Porsche Panamera Turbo or Turbo S in the future. CPO only of course.
