That's different! Haha. Indian and China love that 22-24K gold.
But those electroplated gold emblems? Man, when I sold Toyotas and Lexus, that was one of the few ways I made ANY profit on Indians. 1. Gold package 2. "Special order" cloth seats (Lexus) 3. MVID |

They aren't a option these days, but some people still get them done. The new Desi option is the Special Editions. Basically a special edition badge, different "wood", and possibly a color (red I think). My guy at Honda (whom is a fellow brownie) sells Accord SEs at $24,000; msrp is roughly 27,000 or so. Starts them off at $26,000 or so, does the acting, and gets his "manager" (whom is Jewish) to come down to $24,000. Makes about $300 or so per car.

My wife has a 2012 Q5 2.0 that has treated us well, at least so far (but have extended warranty through Feb 2020 just in case). She drove an RX for 10+ years before the Q5, so obviously that treated us well too. However, she liked the Q5 much better than the RX at the time we got it and we have both soured on whatever Lexus is doing style-wise these days. No style > bad style.

It's a box on wheels like most SUV, but it's smooth, quiet and good for a daily. During my commute that's what I want. When I dont want to drive a "boat" I drive the M3.

My grocery/home depot/people/long hauler is a GLK350.
About $38k, IIRC. Zero options except seat warmers and navigation. Comfy, 300+ hp, and safe. Other cars to consider: Pilot Jeep GC Highlander Outback/Foreseter X1 GLA250 (meh) Wrangler CPO RX's are very nice + it's a Toyota! |

In CA, if you see a car with a box of tissues or a roll of paper towels on the back window dash, then you know it's a FOB driving.
