Just picked up my new toy....

Just got a new toy yesterday. The new Canon 40D. Just have to say wow. This camera is amazing.

I recently purchased one as well. Has mainly been used on trips to the aquarium, zoo, and a wrestling tournament. Been very impressed so far. I tend to use a little more shutter priority as I work myself into getting everything down... been too long since I have been in SLR photography but really enjoying it since I got this camera.

I got mine in September as an upgrade from my 300D. I love it.

I am using the canon 28-135mm. Real nice lense. I am going to pick up the Canon 50mm F/1.8 also. Than down the line I want the 70-200mm L-line

Dont you think that lens gives you too little wideangle?

I tried the 24-70 on a 1.6 crop Canon and I thought that wasn't wide enough.

why would a 28mm look wider than a 24mm? on a 1.6 crop factored camera?

Of course 28mm doesn't look wider than 24mm.
I meant that both 24mm and 28mm isn't wide enough on 1.6 crop.
