Actually, IIRC this was out before apple even had anything with touch.
Therefore Apple copied Microsoft, they just made it more trendy.
After all, most people buy a Mac based on the look and status.
God forbid you show up to work or college with some regular old laptop.

I don't know about most people but I bought a mac for battery life, usability and because the number of problems is slim to none in comparison. That stupid comment is like me saying people listen to Daft Punk just to be trendy.

I don't know about microsoft but there were 'touch' programs and devices made on linux/unix a long time ago. Just not commercially made.

haha - no.
But in a showroom they are to nice. Instead of 1000 folders and stuff. You can sit with a costomer and you can take photos and tecnical papers up as you speek with him. Or they can play by them self if you are somewhere else.
And no paper - its just for the fun and coolness.

That's old news. That came out about a year ago. The software was about a year before that. The software came from some grad student in college. There's video of it floating around UToooob.

Oh an that concept came out before the iPhone was even announced.

I believe so yes. It had already gained a few select customers. Other than that, I haven't heard anything since it's initial release. Stuff like these are typically just proof of concept models. Then you see their characteristics applied to other things released a few years later.

I'll agree with that. As a current student in college, it's definitely trendy to have a sleek Mac... and have the trademark white earbuds continually in your ears. Sure, macs are known for reliability and lack of 'problems' (at least the ones mainly associated with PCs) but as far as us students go, its for status.
