Camera Time: Canon Users. Questions?

I've been using my SD450(5.0mp canon digital camera) for LONG time now.
I've used alot of cameras before, different brands and everything.. but Canon is by far my favorite. even though they are all ugly as hell.

I really want another Canon digital camera, but I don't want to invest too much. Probably something below $250(used or new, don't matter).

One major improvement im looking for is ... what do we call that. "Anti-shake" thing. Because I use the camera mostly when Im "moving around"/active, I need the camera to be able to take CLEAR pictures instead of blurry ones.

Please recommand me some. I thought i should ask here because so many bimmer owners have nice cameras.

You know who makes the best image stabilization technology? Panasonic. I have a Panasonic digital camera for about 2 years with image stabilization and it's amazing. Friggin' crystal clear images and it beats my Dad's high end Canon SLR digital cameras with his high end lenses for shots without a tripod. Panasonic pioneered image stabilization for digital cameras and they pretty much invented it. I just happened to buy a Panasonic digital camera by fluke because it was a good deal and I was amazed by the quality of the images. I have the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5. Unfortunately, Panasonic cameras aren't the best looking though, and their compact digital cameras lack manual control.

I use a Nikon D3, can shoot up to 25000 ISO. But not in the $250 range.
Fuji are good too.

Nice. I want one, but I'm holding out for a higher res version. I'm sure there's a D3x around the corner.

New SD series Digital elphs are still the cats ass and many come with IS.

Also check out the new G9, not going to fit in a pocket but takes awesome pictures, and looks and feels great.

Check out the SD850IS, SD870IS, and the SD950IS. All of them kick butt and still have a great feel.

I just bought the SD870IS on Monday.

Still haven't used it much, but seem to enjoy it.

Since it has no true manual controls I'm attempting to learn how to create the best photos possible with it.

Also good choices, and they have the flippy down LCD displays and big zoom which is nice.

I have the G9. I love it! It won't replace a DSLR, but is a good compliment to one

Easy, Point.... Click... Tweak in Photoshop or similar and you're done.

Seriously though, even with the little elphs there are a good number of optins and features available. RTFM and you'll be GTG.

First shot is with my G9, second is with the little SD1000 I bought for the wife to stash in her purse.

Trust me, I'm RTFM. Almost continuously.

Last night I was experimenting with the different modes and ISO's.

I have photoshop, don't know how to use. Guess I'll start playing around with it as well.

By the way, great pics.
