Buying a DateJust, questions...

Hi guys,

Looking to buy a watch for my son's birthday. I am by no means a watch connoisseur however I do have a rough idea of the market.
This watch has come up at a reasonable price and I think he will love it.

I've placed a refundable deposit on the watch but before I buy it, I just wanted to find out your opinions as you probably know a lot more than me haha.
One thing I read up on is over polishing. The watch must have been polished before resale so does it looked over polished?
Also it comes with the box but no papers. Would that give me any problems if I were to take to a Rolex Service Centre

I tried to find out more about the company but they seem reputable, opinions?

Thanks in advance

Just a few things, you may know already too
1-Internals are a big deal, if serviced by anyone other than Rolex it most likely doesnt have Rolex internals, that being said, if you were to send it to Rolex for service they may decline or charge you to completely redo the insides; springs and other parts etc
2-if this is a "gray market" watch there will be no warranty or service provided by Rolex
3-In the very unlikely event that this time piece was ever reported as stolen to Rolex, if you send it to them they will not send it back, ever
4-I would cross reference the details of the band, if this is not the original design/style band the watch came with then again Rolex may not service it.

Hope this helps, remember always buy the seller not the time piece

Have a look at Watchfinder, they are the largest in the UK for second hand luxury watches you can buy from them with confidence, they have over a 1000 Rolex in stock.

The 36mm SS Datejust is the iconic watch in the Rolex family. Simple, classy, and can be worn either casual, or to a formal event.
