Really love how the Alfa giulia qv sounds for a FI six. NA six? Toss up between E46m3 and really like the Cayman s note.

My wife’s bike is a Monster 1100evo and it sounds great too. I would like to add a Monster 821 in Dust Grey but don’t have any place to put it. I also want a Hyperstrada in white with red trellis and wheels. But again, no room.

This for road going vehicles. F1 engines with 8,10 and 12 cylindeers are obviously in another stratosphere. And then we have airplanes like the Mustang and Spitfire....

It's not muffled at all, too -- just like the Abarth. It meets DOT sound regulations via small resonators and ECU and driving mode modulation. If more four-bangers took that approach, there'd be a whole lot more good-sounding ones on the market.

This blog has some really good technical discussions about the 4C's engine. One of its keys to power (and another reason it sounds so good): valve overlap.

4 cylinder: turbocharged K20.
5 cylinder: Volvo s60r
6 cylinder: rb26
8 cylinder: gt350
10 cylinder: Lexus LFA
12 cylinder: torn between the Vulcan, FXXK, and Revolucion. But, I think if I had to choose between those three, it would be the Ferrari. They all sound pretty similar revving up minus the Vulcan, but the Ferrari sounds the most epic on the downshifts.
