I disagree. While the interior is not bad, it looks bland and boring. The shifter knob is from a 70s car. I'd take the F90 interior any day over this. Plus I cannot get past the A7/S7/RS7 exterior. It's a non starter for me.

This will be priced as a class above

And there are rumors that either the cls will be called cle to compete in the a7 segment or keep cls and compete with the 8er as an "s" tier class as the name implies, given the new naming architecture from merc. Above that they'll have the AMG GT 4-door

BMW has nothing to compete with the a7 for the time being, much less with the AMG GT 4-door

Wow, exterior looks fantastic. That interior is off the charts. Tech overload.

What did you expect? All the cars in this category are big.

Gorgeous design - both exterior and interior. From a practical perspective, I prefer knobs/buttons, so I'm not a huge fan of the touchscreen controls, but I guess that's the future.

I wish the cruise control could be managed from the steering wheel rather than a stalk, but what can you do - that's the VW/Audi way. I hope they keep the auto hold button in the US model this time (they probably won't.)

That's kind of the point. It's amusing that people actually think these overweight luxury barges can be sporty.

You've got to be a troll. The original A7 looked amazing especially from the rear. The 5GT and future 6 GT on the other hand...

Nope. Love the last A6 and both A5 SB's, but the A7 is horrible. Truly one of the ugliest cars I can think of. Front doesn't look like it was meant for the back, c pillars are droopy and the back just looks hacked off.

Current A7 from the front looks decent, especially in S and RS trims. Sometimes I wonder if it's some new hot-rod Audi given how wide and low it is, then I see the rear, which isn't too bad, but not extremely attractive. It's fairly unique. This new one goes further in the 5GT direction and that is bad.

I bet those touchscreens are difficult or even dangerous to use.

Yeah, replacing the safe and convenient MMI controls and other physical knobs/buttons with a touchscreen is a huge step in the wrong direction in terms of safety and ergonomics. Those fingerprints don't help either... Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be seeing more and more of this, and I think this will cause accidents.

*Some* big cars are beautiful . But the Audi A7 design looked from day 1 like the Titanic .
