LOL...what a complete opposite of a car!! That's too funny. I can see people in Europe driving the Smart car because 99% of them drive tiny cars. Hey, if you crash into another tiny car it might not be as deadly. I would like to buy one but I would be too nervous driving it around town with the likes BIG American SUVs in my next lane.

it's actually not bad. when you're driving it, you feel like you're in a normal car. it's pretty roomy inside.

Who was at the March 20 San Diego autocross? Someone brought a Smart and it was pretty fun to watch.

And I think an H1 is closer to compensation than manly car status.

However, all the wannabe rich people who drive 'em have Mercedes emblems on the front and back of the car! They're a real problem with losers on the street as you can flip it upside down really easily.

All in all, it's a car no one wants to drive because the interior is crap, like same as a early 90's Dodge, transmission sucks, and when they first came out, they were available only for diesel.

The Smart car is truly a chick car. No man wants to be caught dead in this car unless you have an additional manly car in your collection.

Resale value is crap too because no one wants to drive these in Canada anymore.
Wow. Can you make any more generalizations without any evidence to back yourself up?

I live in "Canada" too. In fact, I live in Ontario so I can't really say what the entire country thinks of these cars, but I've seen quite a few of them around in southern Ontario. They seem to be excellent cars for city driving, and I definitely wouldn't mind having one myself except for the concern about its winter capabilities.

The great majority of Smart cars that I've seen do NOT have emblems or company logos on them. I've never seen one with a MB emblem on it. Just people who like the cars.

I've also seen the convertible, and it is pretty fun-looking. These smart cars always turn my head. First saw them in Paris several years ago and wondered and hoped they would come to Canada.

Post Just bought a Smart Car!!

This site is more useful to us regarding a smart car, The U.S. government will test the smart car after it arrives on the market. Builders predict it will receive four out of five stars in American crash tests. European models recently received four out of five stars in Euro New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) tests.
