What make and model is this SUV test vehicle?

I saw this SUV in camouflage while out driving today. I often see camouflaged cars driving around here. Most of the time they look like Mercedes, but this one has me stumped.

The grille has a Volvo look to it but also the way headlights are pushed in reminded me of Chevy as well.

Lincoln also has a similar grille, but I have no idea. Could be almost anything.

The grill is fake, the headlights are non-production test mule lights. But judging by windshield dual camera setup it is a Mercedes. But I'm not sure why the gas cup is on the wrong side, typically germans have gas cups on the passenger side for safety.

TBH most SUVs look the same to me.

Where did you take this? Looks like a Mercedes to me.

Edit: it's definitely a Mercedes. The two cameras on the windshield are definitely a Mercedes design (location, spacing, shape).

I'm thinking merc too.. Explains the camo in the middle of the grille to cover the logo. Nice looking hearse though.

It's transverse platform with the fuel filler on that side. Longitudinal has it on the opposite side.
