shape of avatar picture
Wondered if there is a way to change the shape of the avatar picture? Mine is oval, I have seen some that are round and many are rectangular. I would like to use a rectangular shaped picture but can't find a way to change it. Thanks, Bob

What I see as rectangular are rectangular images within transparent ovals. So it looks like you should play with size and proportions (to get a horizontal oval, a vertical oval, a round oval ) of your image: try to allow some extra background of transparent colour (white?) to fill the oval around your rectangle of desire.
Here's an example of what I mean (notice the oval "allowance" - extra space, transparent background is some .png property - white background was converted by a handy online tool): Last edited by No one; 09-19-2019 at 06:20 PM.. Reason: Added an example (picture). |

Sounds like a lot of manipulation to get a rectangular photo. If the max width is 208 pixels, why doesn't the forum allow for rectangular images with 208 pixels wide?
I just uploaded an image and I was looking for a way to remove the oval option. Would be nice if the admins would allow that.

It depends on the forum. Compare: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...9#post25333439 (rectangular) and https://f20.1addicts.com/forums/show...6#post25337746 (oval).
