Any F32 with Bilstein B14 PSS?
I'm looking to get them for my F32 xDrive. I've gotten in touch with lot of members who have it on their F30 and F31 but can't get in touch with anyone having it on F32. I have only gotten positive feedback about the coilovers but would be great to hear from someone with the same car.

Yes, my concern is that the coupe sits lower than the sedan, about .8 inches less ground clearance(comparing the xDrive models). I wonder if the coilovers for the coupe make it too low or do they account for the already existing drop. Perhaps the coilovers on the RWD F30 will match better with my F32 xDrive(5.5" for F30 RWD vs 5.7" F32 xDrive), in that case it should be fine as I've spoken with a member with F31 M Sport suspension who installed B14 PSS, I should probably expect the same lowering/look?

Bilstein uses the same coilover across all the line ups. They don't change spring rate or dampening based on the chassis. They don't even change anything between xdrive and sdrive models either based on the specs I've seen. The only thing they do is shorten the shock body for xdrive models so that it fits with the front driveshaft.

EDIT: By "match" I didn't mean pairing the different version with my car, more like the final result. But I can see it sounded like that Last edited by thatBimmerBloke; 01-19-2020 at 03:52 PM.. |

EDIT: It makes sense though, my bad, Bilstein numbers are for cars with base suspension which implies for M Sport suspension there would be 10mm difference to account for the already existing 10mm drop I believe the drop on my car should be similar to the cars with M Sport suspension due to similar ground clearance(5.1" vs 5.5"). P.S. How do you like the coilovers? Any concerns? I know the ride will be firmer but I'm ok with that, as long as it doesn't bottom out or cause any other issues. B14s are okay. Way oversprung in front and undersprung in rear imo. I only have them as a base for a custom tune that I'll be doing this year. I have custom spring rates as well for my setup since stock was pretty meh for me.

Handling is what you'd expect. Better. Spring rates def make for "sporty" ride if that's what you're after. Ride frequency is horrible for me though and is mega choppy. The car fights back and is easily upset over bumps in corners. Not really my idea of fun but many people like the ride with these.

Thanks, I saw the install video but it didn't show how it looked after install. Mine is xDrive, I believe M Sport suspension is already 10mm lower as compared to xDrive? For B16 PSS 10 I see the ride height is also 30-50mm lower than stock, which means 20-40mm for cars with M Sport suspension, is that right?

You can check my post history/for sale thread, theres pics of my car on B14s...although my car is not xdrive.
I've put about 1000 miles on the car since the install. The ride is very stiff, I would feel every bump/imperfection in the road. Comparable to stock w/ RFTs. So far it does not bottom out. As for ride height, You can probably slam it or put it on stock height (i havent tried putting it on stock height but theres alot of sleeves left from where I am currently sitting.) |

Yes, you are right, I was just confirming some numbers regarding the drop, someone mentioned 20mm, was confirming if it was due to his M Sport suspension. I know my xDrive suspension is base, in other words, useless

435i xdrive here.
more than 200.000km with them. best mod in the car. really I have B16 but is more or less the same. I am only 3/4 inch lower than stock and ride improved so much, it feels so agile and direct. sachs suspension on the xdrive was a joke. front I started at position 5, now at 7. back 4 now 6. BR |

280/1000 lbs/in with millway camber plates. I haven't gotten the rears in yet but I will be installing them in the coming weekends.
