2004-2010 955 GTS. Came with a manual and a ton of issues to continually address.

Lovely cars but the 2013 958 is a far more reliable truck.

Which one is the better buy?

Price is the same, CPO car will be twice as much to ship but the two are the same price.
To be honest, given the very little information you’ve provided here, it sounds like this truck is a bit out of your price range. You’re looking at a 6 year old German car with substantially high mileage. Repairs will be costly, even if you’re a DIY mechanic Parts alone are expensive. Why not get something a bit more sensible?

If you’re really dead set on buying I would 100% go with CPO but I wouldnt keep it much longer out of warranty once it’s up. IMO, either car is a bad decision.

Thanks for the unsolicited advice and hasty judgement.

If they are identical as you say, why would it be so difficult to select the one with fewer miles? You have two years unlimited mile warranty on a Porsche CPO but still I’d take lower miles.

Some of us secretly love fixing cars when they break. We also hate money.

I get fixing cars is a labor of love, but on the toy or weekend car. I want my family cruiser to be reliable and problem free because if the wife breaks down, guess who’s coming to get her ass lol.

Totally understandable man! Life is too short for boring cars however and my wife agrees and has always been willing to risk breakdowns to have high output great sounding comfortable vehicles. Guess I'm lucky.

It's almost as if.......everyone has their own tastes and preferences. Crazy, I know.

I agree, the advice was unsolicited. But I’ve taken the L on buying used cars and it sucks. Trying to save you some heartache and $$

Anyway, didn’t mean to offend bud. GL with the car

Lol. I know, there is no right or wrong way when it comes to cars. I’ve just been screwed in the past even after checking cars out on a lift with good svc records and A background in mechanics. Sometimes there’s stuff you just can’t see, despite everything else appearing flawless. It happens all the time

I guess I’m just a little skewed on the subject because of my past experiences

I just bought 958 with high miles. I liked it, price was good, car is in like new condition. I figured high miles equals highway driven, and I would rather get something with 80k driven on hway then 40k in traffic. Buddy of mine had Cayenne with 140k miles and no issues, everything worked till he totaled it

Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Ps. As far as sunroofs, they have manual emergency close in case electronics fail. And oils change are $100 bucks, not $300-400

Not sure how much you are paying for 80K miles 958 GTS but in 2 years once the truck has over 100K and CPO is gone, how much would you expect it to get?

My plan is to hopefully keep it for a while. Lexus sedan was my other choice, but that was $20k more for same year and same MSRP car, just less miles. Most likely Porsche will depreciate less then that Lexus.

Porsche’s CPO is unlimited miles now. They increased it from 100k.

Figured I'd update.

Picked up the CPO cayenne back in July and have put nearly 20k miles on it since. Not a single peep out of it. Great truck.
