Not really me as a kid but here is my 1st X6 with the 1936 Ford Flat Head V8 that my dad learned to drive. My grandmother worked at a resort in the Catskills during the summer when my father was young. He hung out with the owner who taught dad how to drive. Dad kept in touch with the owner's son and bought the truck about 25 years ago and had it restored.

My mother bred pedigree Doberman Pinschers when I was little, that's why there's puppies on my lap, but you can see my family's Datsun wagon in the background. I'm guessing this is ~1980 because of the for sale sign on the side window, and knowing her next car was a 1981 Malibu wagon.

Next pic is my boy sitting on the fender a year an a half ago when I was rebuilding the engine.

Next pic is with new paint a few years ago early morning. It's got almost 300k on it. It was my Mom's daily driver up until the mid-90's.
What a great story. These vintage shots of us with cars are priceless. The fact that you still have the car makes it even more special. Thanks for sharing!

I don't know about you, but I've been a car guy long before I was a BMW fan. For me, it goes back to being a kid in the '50s. My Dad loved cars and specifically GM cars. Every couple of years he would bring home a new (to him) model. I think he usually had a company car or bought one or two year old car to save money and/or drive a higher end model.

I'll start: Here we are in '57 with my Dad's '55 Pontiac. I"m the little one with my eyes closed. I was hooked on cars already. I couldn't wait until September each year when the new models were unveiled.

Go!
LOL Reminds me of Johhny Rockets where did this take place LOL

I don't know any of you in this thread but I do know I appreciated seeing cars and vintage photos of you guys. Nice switch from the damn headlines in the news recently. Simpler times...
