People still buy alcohol based colognes? Gross

Oil based - Tom Ford for instance is the way to go.

Remember Cool Water?

Most, if not all, Creed fragrances are oil based I believe. Regardless of alcohol or oil, I have tried many brands and colognes including Tom Ford (which has a lot of alcohol based fragrances btw) and liked Creed the most. I have a few Tom Ford atomizers for travel that I bought with Amex’s Saks credits but my go to is Creed. Most smells from TF don’t do it for me.

I’m particular about colognes: they can’t be too musky and not too fresh smelling as in too much citrus. I like something that smells good, clean, and has an understated elegance and sportiness to it. Aventus and Green Irish Tweed from Creed are what I like. Have had Imperial Millesime and it’s a bit too feminine for me. Will try Himalayas and Spring Mountains later when I’m running out of what I have now. Creed is expensive enough that it’s not the typical colognes that 99% of guys wear and not as stuffy feeling compared to other brands (at least for me).

That’s what makes Creed expensive. It’s the ingredients that are used.

Did your box of Creed come wrapped with cellophane? Thanks.

Your beloved Aventus will probably be able to be found at Ross in 2021.

Mont Blanc Explorer is the best dupe and price is way more down to earth.

Alcohol is in Tom Ford as well as 99% of every other fragrance no matter the tier unless its pure oil.

Look at the ingredients.

Hmm 🤔
As long as the quality and smells stay the same I’m fine with it, especially if price comes down. Then again I don’t prefer it to become a run of the mill smell like Acqua di Giorgio or Davidoff.

I used to always keep a bottle of Legend around. I replaced it with SpiceBomb Extreme and Oud Wood. Seeing you post Dreamer reminds me I need to re-up on Dylan Blue.

Also, Adventus smells alright, not my favorite but I always get complimented on how I smell when I wear it.

I've been meaning to pick up a bottle of creed with all the high remarks for it. Hard to find good deals on it though! Chanel De Bleu, Michel Germain Sexual, and Dior Sauvage are my lady pleasers
